Hints for Completing the Application

Supply as much information as you can as it will guarantee a more accurate placement.

You will be contacted by a mentor for an interview to take place over the phone or in person.  After the interview, you will receive an Offer Letter if the mentor decides to hire you.  If the experience interests you, return the Offer Letter within three (3) days.  If not, notify Susan Reinhardt, and she will send your application out to another mentor, but do not pass up an experience just because you are unfamiliar with the research.  Decide if it would be applicable to what you are exposing students to in your classroom.  Share your objectives with the mentor, and ask questions and ask for further sources of information.

Please note that applying to GIFT does not guarantee a placement, but the sooner you decide on whether or not an experience is for you, the better your chances are of being placed.
