The University of Georgia’s Tifton Campus has partnered with Georgia Tech University in Atlanta to offer teachers a summer job opportunity to work with scientists for a month. Teachers not only experience and develop their own scientific research but they also form partnerships with scientists affording them the opportunity for continued contact throughout the school year. Upon successful completion of this summer experience and the implementation of an Action Plan in their classrooms based on the experience, teachers receive a salary and PLU’s or graduate credit.
